About Cleda

Cleda is a solo artist, who infuses jazz, R&B, gospel and spoken word among other genres to create a distinct style that many refer to as urban, R&B or just plain neo soul. She developed a passion for music and singing, studying gospel, jazz, blues and soul greats and learning the craft largely on her own.  She started singing as a young child and began singing professionally in the late '90s.  Her recent song “Just You and Me” focuses on relationships, love, life and working it out.

Cleda has performed in national and international venues and has appeared on network television. Her stage and television performances include The Tonight Show, recordings with the late Solomon Burke, Aretha Franklin Concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, American Cancer Society Relay For Life events. Cleda also hosted Sing Masters Presents, a talk show at Time Warner studios.

Cleda also believes in “paying it forward.” To that end, she started Sing Masters Workshop, a workshop that helps other singers reach their goals. The workshop offers a golden opportunity to try out new materials or perfect songs that singers have already performed in front of a live, friendly audience of their peers. The workshop is for singers and songwriters who would love to perform live, network and meet like-minded people. Past performances throughout the community included various musical genres - gospel, jazz, blues Motown, pop and more.

There's no denying that music is where Cleda's heart resides.  With the release of these workshops, she said: “My goal for this project is to create contemporary R&B, neo soul music that you can groove too".

Cleda continues to evolve as an entertainer who loves what she does and does what she loves. She is excited about her new singles which showcase her dual talents as a singer and songwriter.
